TreesVic Projects

Risk Management Report
Given the ongoing need for investment in plantation forestry, for commercial and environmental reasons, but the recent troubles encountered by various MIS projects, Trees Victoria has chosen Risk Management Involved in Growing Trees as the topic of their first major report. More details about this report and a downloadable copy can be obtained here.

Code of Practice Compliance
The Draft Victorian Timber Industry Strategy (TIS) prepared by the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) highlighted the need (Action 9.2) to streamline the implementation of the Forestry Code of Practice for plantations on private land. Subsequently, DPI indentified the specific action to "facilitate the development of training to accredit individuals to undertake uniform and standardised assessments of compliance with the Code of Practice for Timber Production", and commissioned Trees Victoria to undertake a scoping study on this topic. More details about this project can be obtained here.
